CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
The Construction Admin Assistant will support the construction management team by handling administrative tasks essential to the smooth operation of projects. The role involves document management, budget management, processing pay applications, communication with contractors and vendors, and coordination of project schedules. This position requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail within a fast-paced environment.

Reports to: Construction Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist construction project managers to communicate and adhere to proper budgets, assist and create project schedules, and communicate project updates with customer.
Direct subcontractor, vendor, and supplier process by sharing bid packages including scope of work, bidding process, and needed construction documents
Collect and share accurate work logs of construction activities, job information sheets, and project team rosters
Oversee construction contract administration and submittal log processes to ensure that the contract document requirements are met throughout the construction experience
Enforce quality control process measures that ensure compliance with contracts, building, and code regulations
Perform cash management and billing tasks; prepare invoices, subcontracts, change orders, work orders, purchase orders, and punch lists

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree or higher is preferred.
3-5 years' experience in construction services, administrative support, construction project management or another related field is required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required
Basic recordkeeping and math skills are required

ENVIRONMENT This position operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary role with extended periods of sitting. Additionally, this individual must be able to stand and walk throughout the duration of the workday. Occasional lifting of files or office supplies, typically up to 10 pounds. Repetitive motions, such as typing, writing, and mouse use are daily occurrences.

Regular use of office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets is required.

This position is based in our Minot, ND office.

Compensation Information

This is a full-time non-exempt position with a pay range between $22.00-$26.00 per hour depending on experience.
